This post will contain information about what I'm currently working on and the features planned for the coming Curve Architect versions. If you have any suggestions for new features you can post them in the suggestion section.
Current version: 1.5.0 (Released: Dec 04, 2024)
Curve Architect 2.0: (This will be a really big update)
- Update the grid system so its easier to work with. (Completed)
- Add functionality for making a traffic system. (Completed)
- Add paint terrain feature. (Completed)
- Switch to the right menu after using undo. (Completed)
- Feature for generating data and meshes in build after or during scene load. (Completed)
- Feature for instantiate prefabs randomly along Architect Curves. (Completed)
- Remake some of the systems in Curve Architect. Mostly because of different bug fixes that's been made in the Unity editor. (Completed)
- Architect Curves should work within prefabs. (Completed)
- Export mesh feature. (Completed)
- Segment line type. (Completed)
- New marketing videos/pictures. (Working on)
Release date: Don't know.
Traffic System extension for Curve Architect:
- Vehicle curve movement. (Completed).
- Handle collision on curves. (Completed)
- Handle special collision cases. (Not started)
- Handle traffic lights and other cases where vehicles needs to stop. (Completed)
- Add functionality for traveling to a specific point. (Not started)
Release date: Don't know.
Curve Architect 2.1.0:
- Align control points feature.
- Auto type for curve objects.
- Snap control points to other Architect Curves. (not started)
Release date: Don't know.
Curve Architect 2.2.0:
- Add deformation manipulators that can manipulate deformations and maybe terrain. (not started)
- Support for "snapping" deformations to other deformations or followers, making road intersections and connections easier to create. (not started)
- Some kind of support for combining deformations to one. (not started)
Release date: Don't know.
